Hip hip hooray, it’s the Queen’s jubilee!
This May-half term the weather is set to be a stunner, and we have a jam-packed activity programme for you and your family to get closer to nature and celebrate the occasion. The courtyard, cafe and shop will be dressed up to the nines to celebrate the occasion, and we’ll be serving tasty cakes, scones and sandwiches in the cafe.
We’ll be celebrating nature’s royalty over the week too, with a special trail around the park to learn about the kings, queens and blue-blooded creatures in the park. Families can also take part in free activities including pond dipping at 11am and 3pm and arts and crafts at 12noon and 2pm, where they can make jubilee flags or nature crowns.
Our collection birds, cranes, flamingos are excited to see visitors again and the Wader Aviary is also back open. We’re happy to be selling duck food in our shop again where all proceeds go towards the Pensthorpe Conservation Trust’s bird conservation programmes.
