Our Jubilee Celebration this year that we ourselves are organising, are a Bnds, Booze and Beacon on Thursday 2nd June, with 3 local acoustic bands and singers, in an enclosed garden near the village Church, with a gin and real ale bars, and selection of foods available, this will be followed by the Piper, playing Diu Regnare, and the Beacon, on the roof of the porch of the church being lit to coincide with the National Beacon Lighting at 9:45.
On Staurday 4th June we have a Jubilee Proms in the Church concert with a local Brass Band, and on Sunday 5th June we have our Big Lunch, on the football field, with 3 bands on stage, the local Morris Dancing team doing a display, a line dancing “have a go” session, and a free Yoga class, along with stalls and food and drink.
Othe groups in the village are pulling together to put thie rown events on around ours to make a week long celebration, hopefully to appeal to everyone in the village, and as much as possible is being on a free to enter basis.
