On Thursday 2nd June, a bonfire will be lit in honour of Her Majesty at 9.45 pm on the village playing fields. Preceding the bonfire, starting at 9.15 pm, there will be a speech from the Parish Chair, some recollections from the Queen’s Coronation and a poem. We hope to have a piper, and ceremonial music whilst we raise a toast to the Queen to thank her for her life-long service to the nation.
On Saturday 4th June from 2.30-4.30 pm home-made cream teas will be served at the Red Lion, Little Tingewick. There will be a display of steam engines and vintage tractors, a chance to have a go at “Aunt Sally”, and craft activities for children.
From 6 pm on 4th June, there will be a fancy dress BBQ party with music, dancing and a Novelty Awards’ Ceremony kindly hosted by the Red Lion. Food will be served from 6-8 pm. Disco from 7 pm. Children are welcome until 9 pm.
