At Bow Street Police Museum we tell the story of the Bow Street Runners and the Metropolitan Police officers who patrolled the streets of Covent Garden in their footsteps. From eighteenth-century crime-fighting to the closure of one of London’s first police stations in 1992, explore the important and fascinating tales of Bow Street and its unique links with police history.

The Museum will be marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee during our regular opening hours on Friday 3rd-Sunday 5th June 2022. There will be free craft activities for young visitors in the Museum as well as our latest family trail. Normal admission prices and opening hours apply, under 12s go free.

We will also have some exciting object handling on Friday 3rd June and ex-Bow Street Police Officers to talk to visitors about what working life at Bow Street was like!
