After a church service, we will be holding a Big Jubilee lunch in the gardens of the Village Hall, with a barbecue and puddings, and a loyal toast. There will be a pay bar and children’s activities. This will be followed by silly races for adults and children, and the Butcombe Wheelbarrow race, with prizes for the best dressed wheelbarrow, and the fastest time round a fixed course. Fancy dress is encouraged. The afternoon will end with prize giving, and every child in the village will receive a memento of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
