In this year of the Platinum (70years) anniversary of the accession of our well-be!oved Queen E!izabeth, St Mary’s church are proud to be hosting a special Choral Evensong.
This Choral Evensong for the Jubilee, including well-loved music from the Coronation, will be sung by the visiting choir In Ecclesia. The .music will be items from the Coronation service by Vaughan Williams, Parry, Stanford and Elgar – notably ‘I was glad’ by Parry and Elgar’s ‘Pomp and Circumstance No. 1’.
The service will be at 4.30 pm in St Mary’s church, Edward
Road Dorchester, DT1 2HL No entry fee, and followed by celebratory refreshments to which all are invited.
