- Further details can be found about the weekend's events at its website http://www.countesthorpeparishcouncil.co.uk. The Beacon Lighting event will be held at the Centenary Paddock, Station Road LE8 5TA and the Big Lunch will be held at Countesthorpe Academy, Winchester Road, LE8 5PR.
Countesthorpe Parish Council is planning with other local groups to bring the village together to join in on the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. There will be a series of events of the Bank Holiday weekend, with a beacon lighting celebration on Thursday 2nd June, an afternoon tea on Saturday 4th June, and hosting a Big Lunch on Sunday 5th June.
