Cowes Town Council will be taking part in the official Beacon Lighting Ceremony to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. A singer and choir will be performing a mixture of songs from 7.30pm on the Bandstand, including the song “Life Lived with Grace”, followed by a Piper playing “Diu Regnare” at 9.40pm to officially announce the lighting of the Beacon. A bugler will perform the Bugle Call ‘”Majesty”. The Beacon will be lit on The Parade, opposite the Bandstand, at 9.45pm.
