We are a voluntary group working at Buxton Station in the High Peak. We have commissioned an Artist, Andy Hill to create a striking artwork to be installed in our Japanese Garden at the end of the railway tracks. It features a Royal Mail post-box with a cascade of 70 metal envelopes (locally-addressed letters) spilling out of it, each has a unique and real stamp bearing the Queen’s portrait, one from each year of Her Majesty’s reign.
