The Honeybourne Parish Council is a parish council dedicated to helping the community of Honeybourne, a village bordering the Cotswolds and lies within the Vale of Evesham.
We are planning a three day event over the platinum Jubilee weekend. We will begin of Friday and finish Sunday. We are hoping to bring the community together with a variety of smaller events catering for all ages.
Friday: Reverend Scott will host a Thanksgiving Service at Honeybourne Village Hall called Pimms and Hymns where we will be looking back at the life of the Queen and her association with the church through a fun and interactive service.
We will also be hosting a Village in Bloom in association with the Jubilee where we will be asking the community to create a window box/garden bed to celebrate the Queen. This will be a competition.
Saturday: Party in the Park. Our local playing field will host events throughout the day, from a pageant to bake sale. Traditional fete games and live music will be in place and food vans will be in place throughout the day. The evening will be an open-air event, hopefully with a projector in place for us to watch the Platinum Party at the Palace.
Sunday: Jubilee Cricket Final. A cricket competition will take place with the final taking place on the Sunday. Everyone will be encouraged to bring a table and watch the final as a street party vibe with the Pageant being aired on the screen.
