What could be a more uplifting experience than to join in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The programme includes music from the original 1953 coronation service alongside rousing and patriotic favourites from Hubert Parry, William Walton, Georg Frederic Handel and Henry Purcell, together with contemporary music by Will Todd and a brand new anthem written especially for the Platinum Jubilee by award-winning young composer Thomas Hewitt Jones.

No fewer than three local choirs join forces for the first time in a programme interspersed with evocative and reflective solos from local star-organist William Whitehead. This is sure to be an historic and memorable occasion for all.

Programme includes:
Parry – I was Glad
Handel – Zadok the Priest
Will Todd – The Call of Wisdom.

Featuring:
Choir of All Saints’, Hertford
Choir of Hertford St Andrew
Hertford Chamber Choir
William Whitehead (Organ)
Manvinder Rattan (Musical Director)
Jane Eldred & Martin Penny (Conductors)
