The UK’s long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees, Weddings and Coronations with the lighting of beacons will be continued to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Along with 1,500 other beacons, the Earl Shilton beacon cited on The Motte, QE II Hall Field Park, will be lit at 9.45pm to celebrate the Queen’s long and selfless service.
