St. Tudy Historical Society will be hosting the Lighting of the St. Tudy Beacon for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Thursday the 2nd of June. More than 1,500 beacons will be set on fire across the UK with the main beacon placed at Buckingham Place. The lighting of the Principal Platinum Beacon will be at 9.45pm and we shall Live Stream the BBC programme of beacons being lit around the Commonwealth. Our own St. Tudy Beacon, located at Hill Head, will be visible from the Village Hall Garden, and will also be lit at 9.45pm in conjunction with the Principal Beacon and the 1,500 beacons across the United Kingdom. Doors open at 8pm with the Bar and Pasties available and all are welcome.
