We are a voluntary group of residents of Linton who have come together to organise a very special village event to celebrate our amazing Queen. We have organised a Town Crier and have arranged to light a beacon in the village on the 2nd. The main event will be on Sunday 5th June, when we are arranging an all-day event in the centre of the village, starting with a Dog Show in the morning at the Linton village hall. The afternoon events will open with a Fancy Dress Pageant which will progress from the Windmill Inn back the the village green by the Hall, where we will have set up gazebos, trestle tables and chairs. Hot barbecue food, ice cream, teas and coffees will be served. Residents will be asked to bring the rest of their picnic. Music and childrens games are organised with tennis and football coaching, childrens (and possibly adult) races, dance exhibition, magic show, and face painting. It will be hopefully be a really great day for us all,but mainly the children to remember.
