Pearls of Cheshire believes that all women and children have a right to have their needs met regardless of their race, ethnicity, social class or religion. We work towards ensuring that language or immigration status is not a barrier for women and children to live a fulfilled life.
We work hard to promote inclusion and to make sure that no woman and child is left isolated and alone. We promote good cultural practices and raise awareness about unhealthy/harmful cultural practices to women and children from the BAME community. We work towards empowering women and children to reach their full potential by providing trainin/upskilling (sewing project) and children’s Maths, English, Chemistry and Science Club. We also provide homework clubs. We want to make sure that every child has their educational needs met regardless of their background. We provide culturally appropriate support to women and children from the BAME community, however is important to clarify that we do not exclude women from other ethnic background. Pearls of Cheshire is for women and children from all walks of life but we identified the need for culturally appropriate support in our community and we are privileged to have been able to provide that exclusive support and meet some ‘overlooked’ needs. We however feel very strongly about Togetherness, so we work hard to bring communities together and to build trust between BAME community and service providers in Cheshire East.
Our Togetherness Jubilee celebration aims to educate our multicultural society about celebrating different cultures through food, music and poetry. Our event will be a one day colourful event.
