Nene Park Trust manages the 1,700 acre Nene Park estate with an overarching aim to improve the quality of life for the people of Peterborough. Ferry Meadows, part of our estate, is one of the largest and most popular country parks in the UK, and a much-loved community asset within Peterborough. In collaboration with the City Council and community organisations, we are hosting Peterborough Celebrates, a free-to-attend family-orientated festival at Ferry Meadows on the 13th-15th May 2022.
The festival weekend – created with and for residents – will bring our global and diverse city together in a cultural celebration of thanks to acknowledge the amazing achievements of our communities, and to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee year of Her Majesty the Queen.
With activities, workshops, stalls, food, drink, sports, games and performances including music, circus, dance, drama, spoken word and film, as well as unexpected moments and surprises, Peterborough Celebrates will be an exciting and diverse family-friendly community celebration of our ‘world city’, that anyone and everyone can get involved in as a performer, a volunteer, a participant or just as a visitor!
