Wellingborough library provides community support and library services. We are holding a number of activities to celebrate the jubilee.

Scarecrow festival competition: Local businesses, organisations and individuals are invited to submit a scarecrow that reflects something of Britain over the last 70 years. Scarecrows can be any size up to 6 feet tall. All scarecrows will be on display in the library from 28th May

Hat parade – members of the community are invited to create a hat fit for Royalty! All hats will be on display from 27th May

Platinum Jubilee Bake Off competition- members of the community are invited to take part in a baking competition with have categories for adults and under 16’s enabling experienced and budding bakers to take part. Cakes to be submitted on the morning of 4th June for judging to take lace at midday!

Jubilee Stamp Gallery – all local primary school children have been invited to design a stamp to celebrate the jubilee – we will be displaying nearly 4000 stamps in our gallery in the library for all to view from 28th May.

Our Jubilee Tea Party is being held on 4th June 2022 from 1pm at Wellingborough library. Refreshments including some of the bake off cakes will be available to buy. There will also be free crafting activities for children and families.
