The Wrexham and District Society of Model Engineers is a Long-Established Group of Model Engineers of all Ages and all Abilities from a Variety of Backgrounds Who Meet on a Regular Basis to Help and Encourage Each Other in Model Building. We Have Members with Many Years of Experience and Knowledge and also Absolute Beginners Who Are Only Too Keen to Learn. The Emphasis of Our Club Is Mainly on Model Live Steam Locomotive Construction but We Cater for Anyone with An Interest in Model Engineering, Road-Steam, I.C Engines, Stationary Engines, Tool-Making and Horology.

On the Platinum Jubilee we are planning a special event for the public of running steam and battery-powered locomotives, providing rides for the public. We will be decorating the station with Union Flags in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with benches available for visitors who wish to have a picnic. Rides are free but we welcome donations which help us to run and maintain the society’s functions.
