Friends of Skelton Grange support community engagement with Skelton Grange Environment Centre, a nature area and community centre in south Leeds. This Platinum Jubilee project is an 18 month long environmental volunteering and learning programme at Skelton Grange, with the aim of developing an area of the site, known locally as the ‘Lost World’.

We will support 70 days of community action from June 2022 to December 2023, including:
– Volunteer conservation events to clear scrubland, do wildlife surveys, create paths, plant trees and meadows, install beehives and create wildlife habitats.
– Hands-on learning and play in the natural world
– Public events to celebrate the project with our community
