The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is the flagship of musical life in Birmingham and the West Midlands – and one of the world’s great orchestras.

Our event will be a performance of music written during Her Majesty’s reign, presented by Classic FM presenter John Suchet.

To mark this momentous occasion, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will perform a selection of works from throughout her reign that is as rich and varied as Her remarkable life and times.

The repertoire for the evening includes music from the coronation, works dedicated to The Queen and HRH The Princess Margaret, music from across the Commonwealth, personal favourites of Her majesty (My Fair Lady) and even bagpipes, in former Master of the Queen’s Music Sir Pieter Maxwell Davies’ An Orkney Wedding, with Sunrise.
