We are a pipe and drum band in Williamsburg, VA joined by several other bands – all welcome to come and play (sign-up here https://djlo2m7bj6y.typeform.com/to/K4ILHdau). We have secured permission to perform a 14-tune concert (Including Diu Regnare) in front of the Governor’s Palace in Colonial Williamsburg at 6:00 pm on June 2. We will then hold a formal ceremony 9-10pm for the Jubilee with trumpet fanfare, A Song for the Commonwealth sung be a professional opera singer, lighting of the beacons, and three tunes on bagpipes and drums – all this led by an MC with a posh English accent. We have tentative plans to play a few tunes at Yorktown and Jamestown Settlement earlier in the day to round out our historical connection with the UK. Finally, there will be the Jubilee tarts, puddings, assorted drinks, and fun all day into the evening. Come join us to play or to just have fun.
