We are aiming to have a free community street party using our centre as the focal point as we know that a lot of our neighbours would love to celebrate as a community however, we cannot realistically close the B5254 Leyland Road. There is also no other community centre or setting in our locality, we are very proud of this part of Middleforth.  We are planning to close the access to Wren Avenue next-door to us of which the neighbours are already amenable with and use our car park also.

On Saturday 4th June we are planning a true family fun day with live music, food – either a barbecue or hog roast – dependent on budget, with live entertainment including our local Brass Band who practice in our club weekly and perform for us every Armistice Sunday, we also have NHS choir from Royal Preston Hospital making a guest appearance to start the proceedings and also other local Artists that have performed at the club in the past.
We envisage having around 8 stalls as well as a face painter, cake and local food stalls, Tombola, hook a duck, coconut shy and a raffle etc with bunting and Union Jack flags throughout the whole area . The timing will be from Midday – 6pm and everyone will move inside by 9pm latest.

We are an active RBL club which supports many activities for our area – most recently the popular Wellness cafe that is open every Wednesday, which South Ribble Borough Council approached us for due to our active community setting.
We host many charity events such as the annual Poppy Appeal, The Guild Wheel Walk which is now in its 10th year which has upwards of 100 participants. We raise money for both the RBL and local charities such as St Catherine’s Hospice, The Rainbow Hub, NF1 Army, Derain House, Lancashire Mind and BabyB
