Royal Grammar School Newcastle is almost 500 years old, receiving our Royal Charter in 1601. As one of only seven Royal Grammar Schools in the UK, we’re especially keen to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. Our celebrations will focus on the 27th of May, and will include a special Assembly including Jubilee themed Orchestra and Choral performances, a day of public service for our students, a Jubilee Essay Competition and an afternoon tea with our neighbours and local schools.
