Belgravia Gallery has a long association with Royal Art and will be exhibiting its collection in celebration of the momentous ocassion of the Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
On show will be Signed Lithographs by HRH The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, which have raised millions for his Charitable Foundation. Images include Royal homes such as Balmoral, Sandringham, Highgrove and Windsor Castle as well as landscape scenes of Scotland, Switzerland, Greece and the UK. These beautiful scenes by our future King are very accomplished and highly collectible.
Also on show will be original etchings from the 1840’s by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. These include tender scenes of their children and dogs, and were made by the couple during the early years of their marriage.
Alongside these will be vintage photographs of Princes Diana together with her boys during happy times together in the 1990s.
Lastly, two contemporary works featuring Her Majesty will be shown. Andy Warhol’s 1985 image of Queen Elizabeth II – derived from an official 1977 Jubilee photograph by Peter Grugeon, along with Chris Levine’s lenticular photograph taken when Levine was commissioned by the Jersey Heritage Trust to create a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in 2004. The portrait was to mark 800 years of allegiance to the Crown by the Island of Jersey. These two works will be shown online only.
