In celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the Government Art Collection has created a walking tour allowing you to experience the atmosphere of this momentous occasion. Join parts of the procession route taken by the Queen on her coronation day on 2 June 1953, from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. Along the way, uncover key works from our collection that will allow you to reimagine the procession and learn more about the coronation of the UK’s longest-reigning monarch.

Works of art from the Government Art Collection are displayed in UK Government buildings in nearly every capital city, making it the most dispersed collection of British art in the world. The Collection promotes British art and plays a key role in British cultural diplomacy.
