Shavington Village Festival Committee are organising a long weekend of activities to commemorate the Queen’s platinum jubilee. There will be the beacon lighting on Thursday 3nd June, followed by a concert of music and memories across the 70 years of the Queen’s reign on Friday 3rd July and Shavington’s annual Village Festival on Saturday 4th June. On Sunday 5th June, the celebrations will end with a picnic and church service. All events are taking place in the heart of Shavington – cum-Gresty in and around the village hall area.
