Polish up your armour and dust off your lance for a bank holiday weekend of spectacular medieval jousting, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Stonor Park in Oxfordshire.

Located near Henley on Thames, just 45 minutes from West London, Stonor’s popular annual event will be returning across the special three-day bank holiday weekend from 3 to 5th June this year, as the nation celebrates our monarch’s 70th year on the throne.

The knights of Royal England, dressed in full armour and riding impressive Andalusian geldings will present jaw dropping displays of medieval jousting along with spectacular horseback stunts, falconry exhibitions, cannon and weapon displays and archery.

Almost 150 reenactors will bring medieval times to life, plus a Platinum Jubilee beacon will be lit daily for the celebrations.

Once visitors have worked up an appetite, there are delicious food and drink options to choose from, including mouth-watering woodfired pizzas, hand cooked at Stonor’s Rumble Hut take-away eatery, as well as delicious Italian soft scoop ice-cream and a host of other food and drink options.

Stonor Park, in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, is an 850-year-old historic house and gardens and is the home of William and Lady Ailsa Stonor and their three children. The house and gardens are open for visitors along with its bespoke and magical adventure playground Tumblestone Hollow, which opened in 2021 and has been inspired by the ancient stone circle in the grounds of Stonor, from which the house and the family take its name.

Tickets are available to pre-book on the website. Adult tickets cost £16 and £13.50 for children (2-15).

Tickets also include entry to Stonor House, its gardens and Tumblestone Hollow, the historic house’s magical adventure playground.
