Our community group Hackney Wick Forest Explorers offers city-based children, families, carers and older people opportunities to access safe and stimulating adventure-based experiences; set in open and inspirational natural places. We run Forest School stay and play sessions for the variety of communities, we also organising educational trips to learn and explore more about British Values.
The Hackney Wick Jubilee Garden will create a new multi-generational and environmental community garden, developing an open green space for local people to connect through learning about and participating in growing and being involved more in local conservation initiatives.
The project will focus on reaching vulnerable groups and people who would benefit the most from connecting with nature and being more socially included by sharing these benefits with their wider communities. The Jubilee Community Garden will create an intimate and safe learning space, for children, families, grandparents, carers and older residents to share knowledge and learn new growing and horticulture skills.
