Storyteller Sally Pomme Clayton performs royal fairy tales to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022. Free tickets available in advance, in person from the library where the event is being held.

Based on her recent book ‘The King with Dirty Feet’ (winner of The Oxford Book Award Best Picture Book 2019), Sally tells a funny, sweet, and involving folktale about a silly King and an important invention.

The King has not had a bath for a whole year, but when he finally bathes in the river, he can’t get his feet clean. Can you help solve the problem of the King’s dirty feet?

Meet other royal characters from the feisty Fairy Queen to some princesses who are under a spell. If you would like to wear or bring your best pair of shoes, Sally would love to see them!
