Before the Jubilee Weekend:
Two major groups of volunteers will decorate Ketton village, starting on 23 May. One, The Ketton Knitters, will display specially prepared knitting on key sites in the village. The second group of volunteers are making extensive lengths of bunting in red, white and blue to be hung from prominent buildings and other significant locations. 2nd June: Jubilee Car Boot Sale at Ketton Sports and Community Centre (KSCC), Pit Lane, Ketton, Stamford PE9 3SZ start at 8.00am

Beacon Lighting
The Ketton village beacon will be lit at 9.15pm on Thursday 2 June. The beacon is located near Holmes Farm, Aldgate, Ketton. Some refreshments will be available. Contact Ketton Parish Council.

During the Jubilee Weekend:
Friday 3rd June: The Ketton Village Choir will lead a musical evening with other musical groups and solo artists taking part. There will be community singing for all of us to join in. This event will take place at Ketton Sports and Community Centre (KSCC) where the bar will be open. See Ketton News on Facebook and Nextdoor Ketton. Contact Ketton Parish Council

Saturday 4th June:
Rutland County Show all day at the Rutland Showground, off Oakham Ring Road. This is Rutland’s traditional annual County Show, but adjusted this year to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Sunday 5th June:
Ketton Jubilee Lunch and Fete
The White Bread Trust, a Ketton village charity, is funding a HOG ROAST that will be free for up to 400 residents of Ketton. This will start at 12 noon at Ketton Sports and Community Centre (KSCC) where the bar will be open. A well known local ice cream maker will also be present. In the afternoon a village fete will be held at KSCC with children’s games and other activities. Some stalls selling books, a bottle stall and raffles. See Ketton News on Facebook
