Turn the Tide is a fun, free, one-day, family-friendly event for all ages on Dawlish Lawn on the first day of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. It celebrates the importance of our oceans and waterways and the need to look after them for the next 70 years. Every second breath we take has come from our oceans and they play a vital role in combatting climate change.
We will celebrate Dawlish Parish’s wonderful seaside location, coastline and waterways, featuring environmental, local, sustainable and ethical charities, organisations and businesses. The event will include an opening address by the Deputy Lord Lt of Devon Group Captain Gordon Evans DL.
There will be mermaids, sea shanties, key speakers, films, art workshops and more!
Organised by Dawlish Wildlife Wardens, and Dawlish Against Plastic in conjunction with Dawlish Town Council.
