The National Archives is the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, and for England and Wales. We are the guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic national documents.

In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British monarch to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee after 70 years on the throne. To mark this momentous occasion, The National Archives is digitising records from our collections about Her Majesty’s life, coronation and reign as well as revealing interesting and intriguing tales from royal history.

Find out more about the Queen’s ground-breaking coronation in our showcase display at The National Archives Event Space, 1st Floor in Kew, West London. The display features records from the ceremony and visitors can also watch our film celebrating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s life and reign. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDEGPy6yW70
