The village will be holding a Jubilee picnic on the afternoon of Saturday, June 4th on the Playing Field. Guests will be greeted with a glass of Pimms or elderflower cordial. The Village Crier will gather everyone together for the official opening and the picnic will begin! There will be an opportunity to enter the village Olympics with races for all ages – who will win the over 80s egg and spoon race this year? There will be singing provided by the village singing group, Moor Harmony; best Jubilee hat and best Jubilee dressed house competitions; and a delicious giant Union Jack cake to taste. The afternoon will close with a loyal toast to her majesty and the planting of an Exmoor oak tree to commemorate the occasion.
